Don't forget to give 10% to the Big Guy! Maybe they like my two latest stories….l had to delete the previous stories to make room for pics….can’t believe that is limited on here… Don’t know if you read “Ray Quick & Dutch 3 & 4” but in it l introduced Kristen Holt’s mother not realizing l could tell a backstory on the character… I am now writing a backstory on the character & have found a way to bring Michael Ironside’s Edgar Lewis (Escape from New York sequel story, Eric Scully vs Predator) back….. I didn’t utilize that character enough…… It starts in 1975 & goes all the way to 2050 where Mr.X & Taria’s grown children are dealing with the negative effects of AI technology which mixes elements of “Blade Runner” in it…& in many ways leads to WW III…... AI technology is getting scary…. The latest “Mission Impossible” film “Dead Reckoning” really touches on the dangers of AI technology! |

Reminds me of the old days back on the Amazon forums where I would argue with William A. Smith's assumption that the Terminator movies could never really happen because Skynet and robots are incapable of ever becoming sentient or self aware.

I finally watch “Doctor Sleep” for the first time….this was a sequel to “The Shining”….at first l expected to be letdown but this film really stayed true to 1980 original with Jack Nicholson…..and it fixed everything Stephen King hated about the original 1980 film…..in the book version the Overlook Hotel burns down, this was also shown in the TV remake version in 1997 that King supervised…
Doctor Sleep has return to the Overlook Hotel at the end & we get it burning down at the end which made King more satisfied with the 1980 film by Stanley Kubrick…
Ewan McGregor plays the adult Danny Torrence & is still tormented by the events of “The Shining” as he is trying to move on with his life, he sees the ghost of Dick (Scatman Crothers) who is no longer with us but portrayed by a look alike actor as is Shelley Duvall in flashback scenes…the look alikes are spot on…
The villains of this film are Manson like clan similar to the villains in “Near Dark” as they murder other gifted children with “The Shining” as they suck the life out of them to try to obtain immortality, actress Rebecca Ferguson plays the leader of the group & is sexy as hell…
There is a disturbing murder scene involving a kid that is hard to watch, even Ferguson had trouble on set filming it…but the scene really makes you want to see these people die a horrible death especially her….& man does she ever when Danny lures her to the Overlook Hotel….she gets basically the same treatment from the ghost there….
If you like “The Shining” you will like this one…l was really impressed…
There is also a scene where Danny sees his dad at the Overlook Hotel that has Henry Thomas made up to look like Nicholson & man does he ever look like Jack…..the lookalikes were spot on…even the ghost seen in the first film were spot on.

He talks about how everyone hated George, that he treated people like crap & Brian Thompson who played the "nightstalker" in "Cobra" said the same thing...that George treated him like crap on that film.... I decided to get “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome”….nowhere as good as the first two films….but it is Mel’s last outing as Max & what’s not to like about Tina Turner…
But most of all that damn Iron Bar character….such a fun villain that makes me laugh every time…

I decided to get “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome”….nowhere as good as the first two films….but it is Mel’s last outing as Max & what’s not to like about Tina Turner… But most of all that damn Iron Bar character….such a fun villain that makes me laugh every time… “Waaaoooooohhhh”….😆😆😆😆😆 I own a Mad Max Anthology collection on DVD which includes "Beyond Thunderdome" and all I can say is, MMBT was a disappointment compared to the first two entries. Upon watching it again I still felt the same way about it. It's like a watered-down Mad Max movie in my opinion. Although I will admit that it does feature some highlights here and there occasionally. On the other hand, "Fury Road" was exactly what should have been Mad Max 3. Anywhoo... Did you hear? They actually made a Mad Max spinoff! It is titled "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga". Based on the character that Charlize Theron played in "Mad Max: Fury Road". It's a prequel to "Fury Road" and it actually looks pretty good to me. I may just have to go to the movie theater to see this one? If anyone can pull off playing a younger version of Charlize Theron it is Anya Taylor Joy…..she definitely has a resemblance…
Looks like a true prequel to “Fury Road”…..
Of course the hate mongers will tear it apart saying that the “Mad Max” series is all about promoting strong women & that the men are all idiots..
That happened with “Fury Road”….some were saying that Max was upstaged by Furiosa….of course back then we didn’t have as many hate mongers on YouTube like we do now……
But the hate mongers will be out in full force to get those advertising dollars for all their little hate followers…..
I watched the new “Indy” film again & liked it better the second time around….yeah Helena’s sidekick is still annoying but the story is no better or worse than the previous films……
Once you get past all the hate mongering on YouTube…
”Indiana Jones & Dial of Destiny” is really fun to watch..

Just watched another Mel Gibson favorite that kind of flew under my radar…
Bird on a Wire (1990)..
I had forgotten what a fun movie this is that has Mel on the run with Goldie Hawn who at the time was still beautiful….this was before she started ruining herself with plastic surgery….her & Mel definitely had chemistry…..& it is clear they were having fun making this film….it also has David Carradine & Bill Duke (Mac from “Predator”) as the bad guys chasing them……just a fun movie!

Michael Biehn came back & did another interview about his career….l will see if l can find it & post it here…
He said that he had little interaction with Val Kilmer on “Tombstone” because he said “l did love scenes with his then wife” (Joann Walley Kilmer) in Navy Seals” “so it was a bit awkward to be around him”
The guy then asked him “you don’t think he had a problem with that do you”?
To which Biehn replied “l didn’t ask him”🫣😆
He said Kurt Russell was a really cool guy & was very passionate about the film & that him & Kilmer were really like best friends like their characters Wyatt Earp & Doc Holliday & that Director George P. Cosmatos was fired because he was hateful to everyone especially the actresses in the film & that Kurt & Val had help edit the film.
