I finally watched "Superman II", the Richard Donner cut last night, and thought that it was great. My only question is... Whatever happened to Lex Luthor at the end of the movie? Did Superman end up destroying him along with the Fortress of Solitude, or what?Superman II: The Donner Cut - Caravan Of Garbage

I just watched the commentary and deleted scenes for "Superman II" and here's what happened to Lex Luthor. He was apprehended by the authorities. They should have kept that part in the film.Superman II Deleted Scene - All I Ask For Is 10 Percent (1980) Christopher Reeve Movie HD

I was going to post this very clip to answer your question Rock… I agree they should have left that scene in….not only does it explain what happened to Lex, but why Superman destroys his Fortress….people know where it is & Jor El can no longer communicate with him & one has to assume he still has the green crystal to build another one…. One thing l really like about the Donner Cut is Margot Kidder was just downright gorgeous in both the first film & the Donner Cut because both were being filmed simultaneously in 1977……she followed up “Superman” with “The Amityville Horror” where she was equally gorgeous… When Donner was fired & Richard Lester brought in it was 1980….by now Kidder had involved herself with Richard Pryor & if you notice in the Lester version she is starting to look a little rough around the edges & was losing her sex appeal….lord knows what Pryor got her doing….(drugs booze)…..Gene Hackman simply refused to work under Lester.. The firing of Donner caused a lot of tension with the cast….both Reeve & Kidder voiced their anger & frustration with Donner not being there…. Reeve & Jack O’ Halloran (Non) did not get along & at one point Halloran grabbed Reeve & was going to punch him but was stopped by crew members…simply put they hated each other but Halloran did offer condolences upon Reeve’s death…..this little fact surprised me….but Halloran was asked about it & did confirm it….who knew……he was also in 1987’s “Dragnet” with Dan Akroyd & Tom Hanks but seem to disappear after that.

No doubt... Margot Kidder was a real looker back in the day! I also liked her sassy attitude in the Superman movies.

Let us not forget Sarah Douglas as Ursa from Superman II!
I saw a film awhile back….can’t remember the name of it but it had Sarah Douglas as an abused wife….Julian Glover (Donavan in “Last Crusade”) was the abusive husband….it was weird seeing her play a vulnerable character….speaking of Julian Glover….l was reading an interview with him regarding “Last Crusade”….him & my sweet Lysette are good friends in London & worked on several projects together & he said she did get the part of Elsa but dropped out for personal reasons…..only later did he learn that producer Robert Watts was good friends with Harvey Weinstein & he believes that is why she didn’t do the film…..this was 1988…the year Weinstein did what he did….🤬 Glover was also a villain in the Bond film “For Your Eyes Only” & General Veers in “The Empire Strikes Back”. Sarah Douglas was for a time married to actor Richard LaPerimeter……Admiral Motti from the briefing room scene in “A New Hope”…”l find your lack of faith disturbing”…….who knew!!

John Carpenter & Debra Hill on "Escape from New York"
I think Debra Hill is no longer with us…. Frank Doubleday who played Romero was married to this character actress Christina Hart who made appearances on “Three’s Company” & “The Incredible Hulk” & was so so fine….l am like “how did he land her?”….. He like most of the cast are no longer with us…. I remember he was also in a “Charlie’s Angels” episode where Cheryl Ladd’s Angel character loses her memory…can’t remember the name of the episode but he looked normal in that….he sort of resembled Michael Biehn…..they definitely could have passed for brothers.

Romero was such a crazy, evil, wacky character! To this very day I still want to punch his stupid face! R.I.P. Romero.

We can’t have kick ass action heroes anymore…. Stallone’s “Expendables 4” flopped big time….but he failed to secure more old action stars….Arnold, Ford & Jet Li didn’t return……The Rock was probably too expensive….& did he even try to get Kurt Russell??. He still couldn’t get Clint Eastwood & Steven Segal on board…..they probably should have stopped at No. 3

I don't know if that is such a good idea though? It's hard to believe that the original is 30 years old this year? Wow... Time flies.

1993 does not seem like 30 years ago……
In 1993 me & my ex-wife then girlfriend rented a one bedroom apartment for $355 a month….it was 462 sq feet….
Today that same apartment rents for $1,500…& it is still 462 sq feet…..that is the definition of insanity!!!
I got my “Mad Max & Escape from New York” posters….ordered other film posters too….still waiting….apparently Amazon has to get these posters from China…..WTF??
“That’s right yankee dog” “only we have movie posters”!!
I will post pics once l have the rest.

The only movie posters that I have are mini posters of "Mad Max: Fury Road", and "Terminator: Genisys" that my local movie theater was handing out the summer that both movies came out. I grabbed a few copies of each. I own a bunch of posters of my favorite bands though. But only have a few hanging on my walls because I only have so much wall space in my spare room to hang them at. Most of my wall space in here is covered with die cast cars and Transformers action figures hanging on the walls.

Stallone's version might have been better received had he kept the helmet on.....but Sly's ego wouldn't allow that....I just realized that we never see Karl Urban without the helmet.

Speaking of favorite scenes.......this scene from "Alien vs Predator Requiem" really stands out for me as Predator Wolf who is likely a top elite special forces type Predator is just badass as he surveys the wreckage.....the part where he sees the face huggers have escaped & then he turns back & grunts as if to say "fuck I have to go after these bastards" & especially when he activates the self destruct sequence & then takes his time leaving & doesn't even flinch at the countdown.....definately my favorite Predator!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6UPaz0j9ZY

Apparently, Karl Urban is a huge fan of the Judge Dredd comic books and wanted to remain true to the character, who was never seen without wearing his helmet. At least as far as I can remember? Dredd might have taken off his helmet at one time or another in the comics... But if he did, it was very rare.

Another great Judge Dredd comic book cover. They always kept you wondering, what's going on now... And, how in the hell is he possibly going to escape from this situation?

Judge Dredd first made his appearance in England's 2000 AD comics way back in the 70's. Created by John Wagner. Carlos Ezquerra. And Pat Mills.
