There is no denying that Hollywood has lost their way, with endless reboots & remakes that literally destroy Iconic characters, we have people in Hollywood that are making films that have no business making films, they don't care about storytelling or honoring characters we have come to love (J.J. Abrams anyone?) I won't even get started on Rian Johnson & Kathleen Kennedy's mishandling of "Star Wars" not to mention other franchises ruined by talentless hacks, is it too much to ask to keep a character legacy intact?, apparently so, The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an exeption to that rule & has been done right, fans have to write their own stories because Hollywood has forgotten how too, below is a story that I have concieved involving three of my favorite movie characters, Max Rotchansky (Mad Max , The Road Warrior) Jennifer Hills (I spit on your Grave) & Snake Plissken (Escape From New York) these were no doubt Iconic drvie-in movie characters of the late 70's/early 80's & I have put all three of them in a "Avengers-like story", because this takes place immediately after the events of "The Road Warrior" & right before the events of "Escape From New York" I had to keep Max & Snake seperate to keep with continuity, I think I have created a cool prequel to "Escape From New York" you may like it, you may hate it, if you like it, good, if you hate it that is o.k. too, we all have our own ideas, these are mine, however this is fan fiction, nothing more, I do not own these characters & I am in no way attempting to profit from them, this is fan fiction nothing more, this story takes place 40 years ago , we can't de age Mel Gibson(Max) Camille Keaton(Jennifer Hills) & Kurt Russell (Snake Plissken) to make a film version, so again this is fan fiction, I have kept the integrity of these characters intact, I may have taken a few liberties but not many, but I have stayed true to these characters Iconic status, somthing Hollywood will never do.

You might want to try a smartphone, it is real vivid on mine, I am almost done with the follow-up story that takes place immediately after "Escape From New York" I read a story where Hollywood wants to remake "Escape From New York" with the "Hunger Games" director & Zac Efron as Snake but John Carpenter won't give permission.... There is only one Snake Plissken & that is Kurt Russell & there is only one Max Rotchansky & that is Mel Gibson, Tom Hardy is no Mel, sorry & only one Jennifer Hills, Sarah Butler (Spit on your Grave remake) is easy on the eyes but she is no Camille Keaton, Camille owns that character just as Mel & Kurt own Max & Snake, screw you Hollywood!!

My cell phone sucks. I need to upgrade it to a better one soon. I am able to read it just fine on my tablet though and have read the first 3 chapters so far, and so far it's pretty good. I will read the rest of it later today. Man, I am glad to hear that John Carpenter won't allow the remake of EFNY to be made. It would most-likely turn out to be horrible anyway. EFNY was a perfect little action adventure thriller that was just made at the right place and at the right time. You can't recreate it. It is like any other great classic movie, often imitated, but can never be duplicated.

Well, I finally finished up the final story to the previous story that ended on a cliffhanger setting up "Escape From New York", this one picks up after "Escape From New York" & wraps everything up nicely, I keep tweaking it, now I know why film directors always do pick up shots.
I have created two new characters that actors Rutger Hauer & Michael Ironside would have been perfect for, if I had been a casting director back in the late 70's/early 80's or a director like Quentin Taratino these guys would have got more work, I would have looked at talent not popularity...
Hot Babes that would have had bigger careers under me....
Camille Keaton (I spit on your grave 78) Ann Dusenberry (Jaws 2) Amy Steel (Friday the 13th Part 2) Dana Kimmel (Friday the 13th Part 3) Mary Louise Weller (Forced Vengence) Caren Kaye (My Tutor) Stacey Nelkin (Halloween III) Tracy Bregman (Concrete Jungle) Faye Grant (V V Final Battle) Heather Langenkamp (Nightmare on Elm Street) Roxanne Hart (Highlander) Amanda Petersen (Can't buy me love) Jenny Agutter (Child's Play 2) Lysette Anthony (Dark Shadows Revival 1991) Isabelle Glasser (Pure Country)
Current actresses that should be getting more roles but aren't
Sophie Marceu (Braveheart) Claire Folani (The Rock) Teri Polo (Meet the Parents) Kristanna Lokken (Terminator 3) Eva Green (Casino Royale) Rachel Nichols (G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra) Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persha) Jemma Dallander (I spit on your Grave 2/ 2013) Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness) Emily Browning (Pompeii) Sarah Gadon (Dracula Untold) Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey) Lea Seydoux (Spectre) Felicity Jones (Star Wars Rogue One)
With all of Hollywood's big talk about empowering women I have to wonder why these actresses are not getting more work!!
Julia Roberts, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Sandra Bullock, Jodie Foster have all had big careers, why not the ones above??

Your short story was really good, Roman! I enjoyed revisiting such iconic characters such as Cabbie and The Duke again. It made me wonder... Has anyone ever written sequel or prequel stories or books about EFNY before you? I will have to look into that. Another thing... I could really picture seeing Mad Max working side-by-side with Bob Hauk. What a team they would make!
You should really try posting the entire story somewhere else for others to see. Oh, and I should also mention... No one on this forum can read it unless they are a registered guest who signs in here first. Which really sucks because I am sure that some EFNY fans would get a kick out of reading it.

Glad you liked it, as far as I know there has never been any books expanding on these characters that I am aware of, If you think Max & Haauk would work well together as a team then you will like the follow-up story that I just finished where Snake, Max, Haauk & others go in to rescue Katy, this one is a bit longer & Katy gets treated badly by Klintzman's people, I modeled the Klintzman character after Jeffrey Epstein, & her treatment is harsh but Cholo, Klintzman & Tillman get what is coming to them big time, the story you read was the second act, I had to set up the events to "Escape From New York" so I was limited on the story, this final story I was able to really get creative, it is the kind of story people would probably like but the kind of story that Hollywood would be afraid to make, this one picks up right where "Escape From New York" ends, I am still tweaking some grammar errors, but after that I will post it too. If fans want to read it, then maybe they should register to the forums

Ok, here is the final story that picks up where "Escape From New York" ends & puts Max & Snake in action together, there is some tense moments with the Katy character that may disturb folks, it was even hard for me to type it, but it is a harsh reality that is happening to girls around the world, just recently one of Jeffrey Epstein's female employees was arrested for helping Epstein condition many girls on his Island retreat, the Mistress Kane character is likely who this woman was, Katy is not raped, but is treated badly & if you are a snowflake who can't handle harsh realities then don't read it, there is no politically correct BS. in this story, but it is what I & many fans would have loved to have seen back in the late 70's/early 80's that Hollywood is too scared to do now, I mean we don't want to make anyone uncomfortable now do we, unfortunately we don't live in a comfortable world, with cool heroes like Snake & Max you have to have despicable villians otherwise you won't be engaged in the story, this is a solid story & the villians get it big time here...

I might do that, but then again these stories have that late 70's/early 80's vibe at a time when Hollywood wasn't afraid of offending someone, lord knows how many knuckleheads would have a meltdown over these stories, especially the final story, we are not supposed to have white male heroes anymore.

So the Hollywood reboot stupidity continues.....these morons want to revive "G.I.Joe" with a "Snake Eyes" spin-off film & recast Scarlett....dumb, dumb, dumb, there is already an actress that has portrayed this character, her name is Rachel Nichols ...maybe you morons in Hollywood have heard of her, I would love for these morons to explain to me why she is no longer deserving of the role?......does she not deserve a career you hypocritical (we got to empower women) jerks!!!.......or is it because she won't get on the casting couch??!!......uuugggghhhh!!!!.....the inmates are definately running the Hollywood asylum!! No Rachel Nichols.... ....NO TICKET!!!!!!

Disney is still talking about bringing the "Star Wars" Expanded Universe" character Darth Bane to life on the big screen....wait....didn't they de-canon Bane?......oh, yeah, their ideas about "Star Wars" crashed & burned with the Sequel Trilogy.....ooops!!.....Disney doesn't need to mess with this story....for those who don't know Darth Bane is the surviving Sith who institutes the "Rule of Two" 1,000 years before the events of the Prequels & the Original Trilogy, he manipulates the Sith & takes on an apprentice Darth Zannah & sets in motion what Palpatine will achieve 1,000 later & that is the destruction of the Jedi......my advice to Disney, at least do it right, follow the books "Path of Destruction, Rule of Two & Dynasty of Evil" & cast the right people.....Dave Baustita would be the perfect Darth Bane, he is Bane & Amanda Seyfried would be the perfect Darth Zannah.....she is Zannah, the book's describes these two to a tee, see for yourself below Attachments:

Haven't they already done enough damage to it's legacy?! Now I am hearing reports that they are thinking of making another Tron movie... Which is really making me nervous because "Tron" is one of my favorite movies ever, and I just cannot bear to see them destroy it like they did with the Star Wars series.
