I am thinking about writing another story with the Eric Scully character, the character that Rutger Hauer would have been perfect for from the final "Escape From New York" story, "the inside guy", I feel like I could go somewhere with this character, not sure if I should bring Max & Snake back since I gave them a fitting conclusion, what do you think Rock?.....should Max & Snake return for another adventure or should this be Eric Scully's story?.....I got this story in my head where Scully encounters a "Predator" that has come to earth, sort of a prequel to Arnold's 1987 film....but I am not sure if I should throw Max & Snake in the mix.

A Predator story might be interesting. That reminds me, I purchased a Judge Dredd vs Predator and Aliens graphic novel awhile back that I still haven't read yet that I need to catch up with soon. Y'know what I'd like to see, is a good movie starring Jason Voorhees in a major city setting. They made, "Jason Takes Manhattan" but he was hardly in the city... most of the movie took place on a boat. That movie had so much potential and they totally screwed it up.

I think Paramount got sued over not getting permission to shoot in New York...they were never crazy about the franchise....they wanted to put Jason & Freddy Krueger in a film together back then but Paramount & New Line could not agree on a percentage of profits......but years later Paramount sold the rights to “Friday the 13th” to New Line which is why we did eventually get Jason vs Freddy.

I am on a new story involving Eric Scully, because l visualized Rutger Hauer in that role l just had to give him his on adventure, Rutger never got to play many good guys in films, this would have been a good vehicle for him, it may take awhile, l am still fleshing out the story, l decided to leave Max & Snake out of this story although references are made to them this is mainly Scully facing off with a Predator & Klintzman’s brother who is out for revenge.

Hmmm? That makes sense. Oh, and "Jason vs. Freddy" was a great Horror flick that I have watched many times now over the years. Now, if only someone would make a really good sequel to it, like... "Jason vs Michael Myers".

This video at a horror convention back in 2011 has Camille Keaton (who was 63 at this time & still looked good ) & Barbara Magnofi dancing to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" I am trying to figure out who the guy is dancing with them, but what is even more interesting is in the background there is a poster of Ace Frehley, way in the back as they emerge from behind their table, so the question is...was Frehley there? & what horror movie did he do?.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGVzIxQzS0w

Oh, and the latest one, "The Predator", which I still haven't seen yet. I suppose that I should pick up a copy of that one as well?

I have all the "Predator" movies except 2010's "Predators", didn't really care much for that one mainly because it seemed to copy Arnold's film, however I have to say 2018's "The Predator" was much better than I thought it would be & Olivia Munn makes for some good eye candy as this scene shows.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAvyvps4oT8

I think I will go check out Amazon and see what they are asking for "Predator 2" and "The Predator" and if they don't cost too much I will order them.

I am almost done with my Scully/Predator story......I am trying to lead this story into the 1987 "Predator" film, Dillon(Carl Weathers) & Anna (Elpidia Carrilo) from the film are in this story as a set up, just trying to visualize who Jim Hopper is who is the leader of the first team that goes in before Arnold, I was thinking maybe Sam Elliott, I left Arnold's Dutch out of this story simply because I didn't want to ruin his introduction from "Predator"......I am almost there, trying to keep with continuity.

Well, it is done...I finished up the Eric Scully/Predator story, I introduced Scully in the previous final "Escape From New York" story & expanded on his character here & was able to connect this story with the original 1987 "Predator" film, this story ends where "Predator" begins, only Rutger Hauer could be Eric Scully & his girlfriend Lauren Cole would have been a good role for actress Robin Mattson another underrated actress that Hollywood ignored, this is definately a Prequel story to 1987's "Predator" & introduces us to Dillon (Carl Weathers) & Anna (Elpidia Carrillo) from the film & expands on them as well....

"I even liked "Alien vs Predator", which a lot of fans seem to hate"
Yeah, I thought AVP delivered on its promises, I don't know what people were expecting, same with "Predator 2" it was full of action......what I think it is is this, Arnold never returned to do another one & people can't accept that, if you read his autobiograpy (I have) he talks about why he didn't do "Predator 2" he had to decide on that one or "Terminator 2", he asked producer Joel Silver to wait till he finished "T2" & Silver refused & they had a falling out over it, since then Arnold has trashed Silver, he even considered returning for 2018's "The Predator" & director Shane Black wanted to bring Dutch back, but his role would have been small & I think Arnold's ego got the best of him there, however I am going to write another story preceeding the events of "Predator 2" that will not only bring Arnold back but will introduce Gary Busey's Peter Keys which I felt should have gotten a backstory, because this one takes place in L.A. I will likely bring Max & Jennifer into the story as well but in a reduced role & possibly Snake & Katy who will have made their way to CA by then (1997) the time frame of "Predator 2" Eric Scully will be in it as well, I am even thinking about doing a Prequel story set in 1937 where "Indiana Jones" encounters a "Predator" so I can explain what happened to Willie Scott & Short Round as well......naturally I am trying to tie all my favorite actors & actresses & characters into one big cohesive story like the "Marvel Cinematic Universe", I mean why not, the glory years of Hollywood storytelling is over, not only are they imploding but they have become so woke that it doesn't give me much hope for future films let alone good stories.
There will be a final story that takes place after "AvP 1 & 2" & "The Predator" that will be set last year (2019) in which Max & Jennifer's daughter & Snake & Katy's son as well as Scully's son take the reigns as well as the surviving members of "AvP 1 & 2" & "The Predator" taking on a Thanos-like character, Max, Snake, Scully, as well as the moms (Jennifer, Katy & Lauren)will pass on their wisdom to their children to fight the bad guys as well as Dutch & Danny Glover's Harrigon passing on their wisdom to the surviving members of "AvP & "The Predator" as well.....given the fact that Max, Jennifer, Snake, Katy, Scully, Lauren, Dutch & Harrigon would be well into their 60's at this point in the story it is only fitting that they guide the younger crowd....now I just have to come up with a story.....
I am picturing Felicity Jones as Max & Jennifer's daughter Kellan Lutz as Snake & Katy's son Channing Tatum as Scully & Lauren's son Frank Grillo as Johnny Stillman's (ISOYG) grown son seeking vengeance on Jennifer Hills & Jason Stathom as the main Thanos-like bad guy in the 2019 story & of course more Predators & maybe Aliens...

I am two chapters into your latest story so far and I have to say, I like the idea of Rutger Hauer facing off against the Predator. It would have been cool to see him in "Predator 2". He and Danny Glover could have teamed up together to take him on. Would have been awesome.
It's too bad that Arnie never returned back to the series in some way. He should have took the cameo in the latest one and maybe they could have given him a bigger part in the next sequel, if they ever decide to make one any time soon.

Yeah, Rutger Hauer should have been in a "Predator" film, having read Rutger's autobiography as well, I think he didn't play Hollywood politics very well & we know what happens to those who don't play the Hollywood go-along get-along schitck very well, plus I think his menacing character in "The Hitcher" made Hollywood afraid of him, oh, well....he is in a "Predator" story now courtesy of me, & I am going to do a "Indiana Jones/Predator" story & connect it to "AvP" egyptian storyline, plus I can explain what happened to Willie Scott, Short Round & Marion since George Lucas & Steven Speilberg haven't & probably never will, I guess I am going to have to do it myself, yes I know Marion returned in "Crystall Skull" but let's face it, "Crystal Skull" wasn't that good, maybe it is just me but it appears no one's heart was in that one, Indy & Marion deserved better, just like Max , Snake, Jennifer Hills & Luke Skywalker deserved better, I have already given Hills, Max & Snake a better continuation, & Luke Skywalker already has a better continuation in the "Expanded Universe" with books like "Thrawn Trilogy", "Jedi Academy Trilogy", Survivor's Quest" & "Crosscurent" & "Riptide", now I have to give Indy & Marion a better continuation, if Hollywood won't honor these characters then I guess I will.

Yeah, both Rutger Hauer & Michael Ironside got shafted back in the 80’s....neither one played Hollywood politics very well, Ironside was a very private person & now tough guy actors Jason Stathom & Frank Grillo are getting the same shaft today......l sometimes wonder if Arnold, Mel, Kurt, Stallone & Harrison Ford would even have a career if they were starting out today.

I keep thinking of a way to put Stallone in one of these upcoming stories & it hit me....his character Ray Quick from “The Specialist” is an interesting character who could be friends with Arnold’s Dutch.....stay tuned it may be awhile....l am now fleshing out a Indy/Predator Prequel story to set up AvP......l was thinking Jet Li & Kelly Hu will be Short Round’s grown children in the final story....yes l am doing my own “Cinematic Universe”......l think l have found a new passion.....l guess l have the Star Wars “Expanded Universe”to thank for that....when you read those books you notice the writers are fans....something Hollywood has forgotten....you have to have passionate writers as well as filmmakers & that has been lost today in Hollywood.

Yeah, that is one of the problems with a lot of these Hollywood reboots and remakes, a lot of them seem to be directed by people who aren't fans of the originals and don't understand why they are so popular in the first place. And then you have director's like Rian Johnson who want to break away from the tried and true formula that made the originals work so well in the first place and instead only want to shake things up. Another example of this is the recent "Terminator: Dark Fate" movie. Even though series creator James Cameron had a lot of input in that one, including the idea to kill off John Connor early in the film. Still don't know what the fuck he was thinking when he decided to do that?

I have a theory regarding James Cameron on "Terminator : Dark Fate", he is cut from the same cloth as Meir Zarchi, director of "I spit on your Grave", case in point.....when Meir directed ISOYG in 1977 it was originally called "Day of the Woman" & got a limited release in 1978 only to be re-released again in 1980, as Meir put it, the more controversial it became the more money went into his pocket, director Meir Zarchi & star Camille Keaton married in 1979 & got divorced in 1982, Camille has said she had always wanted to do a sequel but Meir obvioulsy did not want to work with his now ex-wife apparently, had they not divorced I think we would have gotten a sequel in the mid to late 80's. James Cameron faced a similar controversy with "The Terminator" in 1984, like 1978's "ISOYG" the critics hated it, the studio hated it, Hollywood hated it & Arnold's agent tried desperately to talk him out of doing it according to Arnold's bio, the film became a surprise hit & made Cameron a bankable director & Arnold a star overnight, Cameron later married Linda Hamilton & was messing around with Suzy Amis while he was filming "Titanic", Amis was the granddaughter of the elder Rose in the film, because of this affair Hamilton & Cameron got divorced which is why they both did not do "Terminator 3"....
Now fast forward to 2015......Meir Zarchi decides he is going to make a sequel to "ISOYG" & gets Camille on board with it & what does he do, he kills off her character in a horrific way, I am still ticked off about it, one has to ask...WHY??....why kill off a character that made you rich, my only conclusion can be is this.....the divorce was apparently ugly & Camille got half his fortune so this was his payback, either that or he has dementia & Rian Johnson ghost directed it, I mean the "ISOYG" sequel is so bad it almost makes "Last Jedi" look good.......neither Camille or Meir has ever talked about what led to their divorce, apparently she fell into the Mark Hamill trap unaware of what he was going to do when she signed on.....
James Cameron & Linda Hamiton's divorce was real ugly, the media had a field day with it. he lost half his fortune to her like Meir did with Camille Keaton, so what does Cameron do, he kills off John Connor knowing this will piss off fans, but I think it was an attempt screw Linda Hamilton out of her major comeback, just as Meir did with Keaton's Jennifer Hills, Cameron wanted to do the same with Hamilton by killing off John Connor, Sarah Connor's only reason to exist or be important.
These two ex-husbands wanted so badly to screw over their ex-wives that they didn't care about how their fans would feel seeing these two Iconic characters destroyed. this is my take, why would you destroy your creation like this??....they had to know this would not go over well with fans........basically what we got here is two bitter old men who set out to screw their ex-wives out of a major comeback & guess what....it worked!!.....this is my theory......if anyone has a better theory then I am all ears......but it is pretty obvious, having been through a divorce myself there is no doubt that was the motivation for both Meir Zarchi & James Cameron.

The entire soundtrack for "Escape From New York" is excellent. It really helped to set the mood for the story. I used to own the soundtrack on vinyl years ago and played it a lot. I should see if they have it still available on CD and maybe pick up a copy of it sometime.

Hmmm... You could be right? Maybe they did it subconsciously to get back at their ex-wives? Too bad they ended up screwing their fans of the franchises even worse. They could still save the Terminator franchise, but it would have to involve completely ignoring Dark Fate if they try to reboot it again at some point.
