I looked up the red, yellow & blue Mad Max police car on Ebay, it is between 300 & 400 dollars....uggh...I think I will wait on that one.. Yeah, I tried finding one on Amazon the other day and they do not have any in stock there. I even went to the company's web site who made them, "Greenlight" and they do not even list them anywhere on their site either, although they are still selling the black Interceptor. I wonder what is up with that? Hell, I saw some really great-looking black Interceptors for sale on Amazon a couple years back that were extremely well-detailed, but they cost a few hundred dollars and I just didn't have that kind of cash to spend on one. But looking back now, I wish I had splurged on one anyway when I had the chance because now they are no longer available.

Well, I finally finished the 2nd story that you posted and I have to say, pretty good, pretty good. I like the idea of Snake working alongside Hauuk and Rehme on Liberty Island. And who doesn't enjoy a happy ending?

Well, I finally finished the 2nd story that you posted and I have to say, pretty good, pretty good. I like the idea of Snake working alongside Hauuk and Rehme on Liberty Island. And who doesn't enjoy a happy ending? It is definately a story I would have liked to have seen on the big screen in the mid 80's, but John Carpenter has said in interviews that he hates sequels, it is why he didn't want to direct "Halloween II" & he didn't really want to do a sequel to "Escape From New York", he has said it, Hollywood would not take no for an answer according to an interview I read with him when he was asked about why it took 15 years to do a sequel, I sometimes wonder if him & Kurt intentionally set out to make a bad sequel just to give Hollywood the finger, Kurt Russell has always been somewhat of an outsider as well, his films have always been trashed by critics, "Movieline" magazine which is no longer published but was around in the mid 90's always took cheap shots at Kurt Russell, it is almost as if the Editor in Chief of the magazine had a bone to pick with Russell, of all the films Kurt has done I can't recall the critics liking any of them, they hated "Used Cars", "The Thing", "Big Trouble in little China", "Tequila Sunrise", "Unlawful Entry", "Breakdown", & especially "Tombstone" ......the only movie that he ever got any praise for was "Backdraft" it seems......& that is probably due to the fact that Ron Howard was the director & he was a Hollywood & media darling......they couldn't trash Howard.
Although Mel Gibson got more respect he told some uncomfortable truths kinda like Tom Cruise with the anti-depressant thing......which got him blackballed......when he did "Passion of the Christ", the critics said he was anti-jewish, who do they think had Jesus crusified?? the Romans?....it was the Jewish church leaders that hated Jesus, not the Romans, it is in scripture, but it is an uncomfortable truth that Hollywood wants to ignore, but Mel didn't ignore it & they didn't like that......when you watch "Passion of the Christ" the Romans were trying to keep the peace & caved in to the mob, sort of like today's liberal knucklehead mayors allowing the mob to tear things up in their cities.
Mel & Kurt does not bow down to the Hollywood establishment & the Hollywood elites hate them.

This scene from the "Dirty Harry" film "The Enforcer" from 1976 shows how political correctness is a suppression of the truth.....how "Affirmative Action" can be harmful, you want the best, not political points, for example do you want a heart surgeon operating on you because of "Affirmative Action" or do you want the best heart surgeon period....think about it....if you watch this scene closely Harry is the only one who actually cares about the new recruit..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rcIJIWqYmo

This is the first story I wrote involving the characters "Max Rotchansky" & "Jennifer Hills" there is no doubt that Mel Gibson & Camille Keaton would have had great chemistry back in 1979......both are past their prime now, but back then it would have been a great pairing, the 1978 film "I spit on your Grave" no matter how disturbing has a realistic feel to it, it is not carried by music, which gives it a realistic feel, the film's director based it on a real life incident where him & a friend took a raped woman to the hospital in 1972 in New York, the woman actually later killed one of her rapists & was acquitted of murder. The 1979 film "Mad Max" had dispicable villians too & was controversial too, just like "ISOYG" it got a limited release as well, in fact "Warner Bros" totally tried to ignore it when they bankrolled its sequel "The Road Warrior". I have watched both "ISOYG" & "Mad Max" back to back....both have a similar feel & could easily run parallel to each other, maybe it is because they were independently made on a limited budget which allowed their directors to focus on character development more which both films do very successfully.......this story picks up exactly where both films end & merges both stories together, there is just somthing about a cool hero with a hot car & a hot babe running from bad guys that I find appealing, I don't know why, this story not only allowed me to expand on both of these characters but it also has that 70's feel that is now long gone in films, it is "Smokey & the Bandit" on steroids........ ......I feel this wraps up some loose ends from "Mad Max" & sets up "The Road Warrior"...

Yeah, I have "Dirty Harry" & "Magnum Force" on DVD & Bluray I wonder how long it will be before the cancel culture cancels Clint Eastwood, .....Clint was the man, Arnold Schwarzennegger , Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, owe their careers to Clint Eastwood....he paved the way for those guys, I really wish Stallone could have got him for "Expendables 3"....he tried but Clint wasn't interested.

That is true, Snake Plissken had that Eastwood mojo going.....no doubt Kurt Russell’s best role with McCready (The Thing) coming in a close second & of course Jack Burton....Kurt was at his best with John Carpenter at the helm...that was a true friendship those guys had.

I just remembered that Mel Gibson & Kurt Russell were in the 1988 film “Tequila Sunrise”......although a good film in its own right not pairing them up as Max & Snake was such a missed opportunity.

Kurt Russell has said Snake was his favorite role......he also once said 2003’s “Dark Blue” was one of his best films.....he will be cancelled once the Twitter mob finds out he said that.....he is a corrupt racist cop in “Dark Blue”.....that is one that will really trigger these people.....Kurt probably wishes he had not done that film now.....I am amazed it hasn’t happened already him & Richard Gere for “Internal Affairs”.
