Yeah, I have my energy back.....was on YouTube pretty much most of the day......I just thought that was a cool clip....the sound of a car in the background gives that feel of being on a road cruising Did many of their YouTube mixes & rediscovered some songs I totally forgot about.....one from "KISS" from 1986.....they really were trying to dominate the hair bands that were all the rage at the time......KISS really did adapt to the look & feel of the 80's hair bands.......it was almost as if they were saying to all of them....."We were here first dammit"....."this is how it is done".... Always loved this song from "The Terminator"......I really wish my sweet Lysette had been Sarah Connor..... They even tried their hands at doing a Grunge album, 1997's "Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions", which actually is pretty good, in my opinion. Their first six albums will always remain my favorites though. |

I was surprised to hear on the radio this morning that it didn't even manage to make it into the top 40 music charts of the time? The Romantics - What I Like About You I remember that song too......I once knew a guy who was on the inside of the music industry in Nashville.....he said Billboards can't be trusted, that songs that top the Billboard charts are usually from producers, sometimes the artists themselves who bribe those who post Billboard top 100 or 40......it depends on one's clout......Garth Brooks was signed to Capitol Records & many artists like Tanya Tucker wanted to be released from her Contract with Capitol because she felt she wasn't getting the push & marketing because Garth was said to be dictating Capitol to promote him & only him.....the way it was told to me was that Garth ran Capitol Records Nashville......this was at the height of his fame in the early 90's.......he used his clout & popularity to make demands on how he was marketed.....like the film industry the guys with the most money get the push & marketing.....some artists like Madonna, Michael Jackson, KiSS, U2, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones ETC....all get control early on & take advantage of the business side of their fame & become their own boss whereas some bands trust others to put them out there & don't always get a fair shake in marketing let alone Billboard charts........ In 1989 a member of the Billboard group in Nashville was murdered on Music Row & it is still unsolved......this guy believed he was paid to chart someone & didn't do it & it cost him his life. |

If you watch closely the gun that the young girl uses to shoot at the Predator is said to be the same gun that is given to Danny Glover at the end of "Predator 2".....according to the director who is obviously a fan...... "Prey" takes place in the year 1719 |

Since I have been in quarentine.....(I am pretty much back to normal.......I think the vaccine really kept me out of the hospital) I finally gave "Star Trek Enterprise" & "Battlestar Galactica a better ending with this story......
We never found out what happened to Count Ibis & Commander Cain.....now we do.....somebody had to give "Battlestar Galactica" a fitting end....plus we learn what happened to Sheba & Apollo once they left Earth in the "Max & Goose vs Rusty Nails" story..... some major characters die in "Battlestar Galactica" & "Enterprise"
"Enterprise" Season 3 ended with them destroying the planet killing sphere.....& them being thrown back in time (by temporal agent Daniels who is from the 31st Century) to World War II"......in the first three seasons there was a temporal cold war where someone was trying to manipulate time.....I gave that a more fitting end
Also because this time mishap is the same time that Captain America is fighting World War II... I thought I would explain what makes Bucky become the "Winter Soldier".....what would drive him to become this killing machine that is manipulated by Hydra.....I explain it here since the MCU never did..

I am now writing another “Star Trek” story that follows the events of the “Alien Reborn” story l wrote a year ago....while they are going woke with “Strange New Worlds” l am writing a real gritty “Star Trek” story centered around Peter Weller’s Admiral Marcus & the U.S.S Vengence....l always thought he was a cool character even if he does go rogue & try to kill Kirk & Co......but it dawned on me.....why did he go rogue much to the shock of his daughter Carol....why was he so hell bent on starting a war with the Klingons in “Into Darkness”??br]
I have a backstory on that motivation here in this story l am now writing...
Set in the year 2230 when they find “Alien Reborn’s” survivor Karen Drake (future mother of Carol) in the Nostromo escape pod....Captain Marcus goes to investigate her story & gets more than he bargained for
This story gives me an excuse for some Klingons to tangle with a few Predators & Aliens.......
Also , Spock’s future parents Sarek & Amanda get caught in this adventure as well as well as Captain Pike...this of course is the time frame before Kirk & Spock are born.....so no Enterprise.....for continuity reasons....it is still adrift in space because of Kahn’s actions in the “Alien Reborn” story....

Well, here is the last "Star Trek" story I am going to write......I didn't really plan to write this one but the wokeness of "Strange New Worlds" got me fired up.....so I wrote a story that Paramount would never do......this one continues the story of "Alien Reborn" as Captain Marcus investigates those events, this one also features Weyland's obsession with acquiring the alien specimen & we see what became of the Predators that helped in the "Endgame" story & of course this story explains Marcus' hatred for the Klingons in "Into Darkness" & why he was willing to sacrifice Kirk & Co. to start a war with them...
This one has Klingons going head to head with some Predators.....who better to fight each other & a few aliens along for the ride......set in the year 2230.....29 years before the events of "Into Darkness"....so Peter Weller's Marcus is not yet an Admiral & would be a lot younger....like his "RoboCop" character Murphy.

Well, you have to admit that the circumstances involving her death were pretty suspicious. So, I could see why there would be conspiracy theories surrounding it. But, who knows? |

Well.....I finally upgraded my Disney+ subscription to include Hulu for an additional $6.00 a month....this allowed me to watch "Prey"....my verdict....a great addition to the "Predator" series.....this one is very much like the first "Predator" film with Arnold.....there is this build up to suspense in the first 45 minutes....but once the Predator starts killing it is pretty nonstop....the Commanche girl sets traps just like Dutch does & yes the gun that was handed to Danny Glover at the end of "Predator 2" is seen here......
Hulu...like Disney has so much to offer....there are shows I missed back in the day that I can now watch...Hulu has all of the films from 20th Century Fox, even "Big Trouble in little China"...all the "Predator" films are getting lots of views....."Prey" has re-ignited people's interest in the other films....
So much to watch.....now I know what you mean when you say there are a lot shows you are trying to find time to watch, Rock......I am like "how am I going to find the time to watch all of this".....definately worth the upgrade....
If you can't watch "Prey" or don't want to subscribe to another streaming service right now...well....my above new "Star Trek" story might satisfy your "Predator" craving in the meantime......."Prey" is definately the kind of story I might have written in the future.....now I don't have to..

I am now watching the “ Terminator” series “Sarah Connor Chronicles” on Hulu....wasn’t able to catch this one when it originally aired (was working nights then)....so far l am three episodes in.....it is keeping my attention so far........really liked the first episode....episodes 2 & 3 have been sort of hit & miss....but l am not giving up on it yet......stay tuned..

I watched Episodes 4, 5 & 6 of the "Sarah Connor Chronicles"......these were good ones....especially no.6....this series really honored the first two "Terminator" films....there are many references made to the first two films.....In Ep.6....we meet Kyle Reese's brother in the present & in the future.....the future war scenes are very consistent with the look & feel of the scenes in the first film, the guy they cast as Kyle Reese in the future scenes looks a lot like Michael Biehn.....they definately found an actor who bears a striking resemblence.....we see scenes that revolve around the underground bunker ambush where Kyle loses Sarah's pic.......this episode explains where his brother was during this ambush & where he is when Kyle is sent back to 1984.......how they explain Kyle having a brother & why we didn't see him in the first film is written & executed brilliantly.......these writers were definately fans of the first two films.... There are many Terminators arriving in the present day with different missions.....I think it is pretty cool that not all of them look the same....they didn't all look like Arnold.....some resistence fighters also come back one being Kyle's brother......I am really hooked on this show now.....Season 1 only had 9 episodes....three more to go.....then Season 2.....so far I like what I see...... Lena Heady (Ma Ma in "Dredd") is Sarah & Summer Glau is a lot more sexier than Kristanna Loken as a female Terminator sent to protect John.... The problem is that they killed off way too many important and beloved characters for the shock value of it. It began to get repetitive and boring after awhile. I still haven't watched the last half of I think it was season 10? It just wasn't keeping me interested anymore. I will have to finish viewing it and see if it gets any better? But the first 5 or 6 seasons are great. I watched those multiple times and they just keep getting better and better with each new viewing. |
