Love 'em or hate 'em, there's no denying that the Star Wars movies are a HUGE cultural phenomenon. And after over 40 years since the release of the very first movie in the series way back in 1977, Star Wars Mania is still going strong now more than ever! Maybe even stronger than the Force itself?
So, here is your chance to tell the world what you love, and or hate about Star Wars! Just don't express your hatred for it too much because as we all know, Hate leads to the Dark Side!

Having watched all the films last week on Blu-Ray except for "Last Jedi" which I despise, I have to say the story still holds up & is still relevent today......"Solo" & Rogue One" really connect the Prequels quite well with "A New Hope", we already know who everyone is...."Obi-Wan, Owen & Beru, Darth Vader, Tarkin, Han & Chewbacca, C3PO & R2D2, Jabba & of course Luke & Leia who are now adults, then in "Empire" we see the return of Yoda, Lando & Boba Fett & already know who they are.
For those who like "Last Jedi"....too each they're own.....my biggest issue is mostly everyone else's issue as well.....in "Empire" Vader tells Luke "the force is with you, but you are not Jedi yet"....& not only does he say it, he proves it!!!
In "Attack of the Clones" Count Dooku has become powerful & merely toys with Obi-Wan & Anakin before taking them down, but he is no match for Yoda pure & simple & flees....
The same thing should have occured between Luke & Kylo Ren.....Kylo dispatching Snoke showed how powerful he was & how dangerous he could be, however his fight with Luke should have ended with Luke handing him his a**!!!...& Kylo fleeing... in effect setting up Ep 9....at this time Luke is just as powerful as Yoda & that should have been apparent....but no...he was turned into a coward....I could have overlooked all the other stupid stuff this movie did, but not that....."The Last Jedi" is one big "GOTCHA!!!!.....examples below....
We thought Luke would get emotional once he saw his & Anakin's lightsaber....nope..GOTCHA!! We thought Luke would somehow be related to Rey....maybe his daughter, after all she does bear a striking resemblence to Padame.....nope..GOTCHA!!!!
When Leia gets blown out into space, we think that is how they wrote Carrie Fisher out.....nope...GOTCHA!!!!
When Kylo & Rey have a force bond that allows them to communicate we think that maybe they are related, maybe they were seperated like Luke & Leia at birth.....nope..."GOTCHA!!!
We will find out who Snoke is.....nope...GOTCHA!!!
We will find out how the "First Order" came to be....nope....GOTCHA!!!!
Captain Phasma will get to do more & be a force to be reckoned with.....nope...GOTCHA!!!!
The "Knights of Ren" will meet their demise when they challenge Luke.....nope...GOTCHA!!!!
Rey will struggle as Luke did in her training.....nope...GOTCHA!!!!
I could go on & on.....Rian Johnson said he wanted to subvert expectations.....not only did he do that, he ignored the very foundation for which the whole franchise was built on.....this guy is a complete moron through & through......man, does J.J. Abrams have a mess to clean up.

My ranking from best to worst with ONE being the best....
1. Revenge of the Sith 2. A New Hope 3. The Empire Strikes Back 4. Rogue One 5. Solo 6. Attack of the Clones 7. The Phantom Menace 8. The Force Awakens 9. Return of the Jedi
Books to read in the "Expanded Universe".....& my personal favorites.
"Cloak of Deception & Darth Maul Shadow Hunter".....both set up the "Phantom Menace" very well.
"Labrynth of Evil".....set prior to the events of "Revenge of the Sith".....we learn who Syfo Dias was.
"Kenobi & Dark Lord Rise of Darth Vader"....both pick up after the events of "Revenge of the Sith" & both run parallel to each other as we see Obi-Wan & Vader deal with the aftermath & fallout.
"The Force Unleashed"....set maybe a year before "A New Hope"....where Vader tries to take on an apprentice.
"Death Troopers"......set maybe a year before "A New Hope"......Han & Chewie end up on a desolate Star Destroyer floating in space & encounter former imperial officers & stormtroopers all turned into zombies in a biological experiment gone wrong on the Star Destroyer....pretty scary read.
"Death Star"....we meet people on the Death Star, like the head stormtrooper, a Tie Fighter Pilot, the Imperial Gunner" who all become disgusted when Alderaan is destroyed, some are even instrumental in allowing Han, Luke, Leia, Chewie & the droids to escape capture, this one surrounds the events of "A New Hope" & gives us what we didn't see on the Death Star & it does not contradict "Rogue One" in any way.
"Tales From Mos Eisely".....Yes, those cantina aliens get a backstory....the one with Greedo & the avenging Jawa are my favorite.
"The Bounty Hunter Wars"...."Mandolorian Armor, Slave Ship & Hard Merchanidse"....set during the events of "Return of the Jedi".....yes, folks Boba Fett survives the Sarlacc, but gets messed up pretty bad & spends a great deal of time recovering but then pretends to be dead so he can work behind the scenes to get the other bounty hunters to kill one another so he can have the monopoly on being a bounty hunter.
"Tattoonie Ghost"....set 5 years after "Return of the Jedi"....Han & Leia visit Tattoonie & discover who Anakin was before he became Darth Vader, we learn how Shmi & Watto coped after Anakin left.
"The Jedi Academy Trilogy"....."Jedi Search, Dark Apprentice & Champions of the Force"....set maybe 10 years after "Return of the Jedi" where Luke restarts the Jedi teachings or attempts too, too many suprises with these.
"Outbound Flight"....set between Ep I & Ep II Attack of the Clones.....a rogue Jedi sets out in a "Star Trek-like" vessel into the far reaches of space & gets more than he bargained for when he crosses paths with Thrawn.
"Survivor's Quest"....set 25 years after "A New Hope" & maybe 5 years before "Force Awakens".....this one has Luke & his love interest Mara Jade finding out what happened to "Outbound Flight" & man are they in for a lot of suprises.....this is the Luke we should have got in "Last Jedi"
"Old Republic"
"Revan & Decieved".....set about 4,000 years before the films where the Jedi & Sith battle for control of Courasaunt.
The Darth Bane Trilogy.....
"Path of Destruction, Rule of Two & Dynasty of Evil"
set 1,000 years before the films....we learn how the Sith became extinct & why Darth Bane created the "Rule of Two".....& how & why Palpatine executed Bane's ultimate plan of revenge against the Jedi.

Some of those books sound really interesting and would make for some great films. I still think that Disney should make a sequel to the Solo movie but I know that they most likely won't. And me being a zombie movie fan would really like to see that "Death Troopers" idea turned into a movie too, but Disney wouldn't touch something like that with a 10 foot lightsaber, I'm sure. I was reading people's comments on some Star Wars videos on You Tube yesterday and it surprised me how many people were dissing "Rogue One" and the Solo movie and basically comparing them to "The Last Jedi". Are these people nuts? Rogue One and Solo were really great flicks and there is no comparison between those two and Last Jedi. Some people just can't be pleased no matter how hard you try.
Anyway, I just found out that instead of making an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie like Disney had originally planned to do, there are now plans to make a live-action Obi-Wan show instead. This is an idea that could actually work and would be even better than a full length feature film if they do it right. I could see something like that being successful for at least two seasons before fans would get bored of it.

Captain Phasma will get to do more & be a force to be reckoned with.....nope...GOTCHA!!!! You are so right about this! That was one of the main things that bored me about Last Jedi... That a lot of the main characters were basically ineffective lame wimps in this movie. Most of the fight scenes were boring and abrupt. Snoke turned out to be a joke. Phasma turned out to be another Boba Fett, a character that had so much potential in it but basically just fizzled out in the end. And of course the problem with Luke wimping out like he did too. I just can't think of anything that actually stood out in my memory in that movie aside from the space battles in the first half hour. Otherwise, it was pretty lame for a Star Wars film.

Here is the song that they should have played during the end credits of "The Force Awakens" since they practically portrayed The First Order to be nothing more than just a bunch of Space Nazis pumped up on steroids anyways. Hanzel und Gretyl - SS Deathstar Supergalactik

I have heard about the Obi-Wan series too, I think Ewan McGregor may be attached to it, if I were him I would demand script approval....that was Mark Hamill's mistake...
There is a "Death Troopers" fan made trailer on YouTube, & a "Forced Unleashed" video game trailer as well, don't know exactly how to link them here, many of the "Expanded Universe" books would make great films, Disney had lots of material to work with just like Marvel has had.....this is why Kathleen Kennedy has to go!!!.....I read that she had little input in "Solo" & "Rogue One".....that explains why they were good...Ron Howard & Gareth Edwards she could not bully & Bob Iger oversaw "The Force Awakens"......."The Last Jedi" is the only one she was heavily involved in & we know how that turned out.

There is a "Death Troopers" fan made trailer on YouTube, & a "Forced Unleashed" video game trailer as well, don't know exactly how to link them here, I will have to go check those trailers out. As for linking You Tube videos here, all you have to do is to copy the URL of the video that you want to post and then click on the black clipboard icon at the top of the post that you want to make and paste the URL into that and then hit the "Insert Video" button and it will link it in your post.

It looks as if Disney is getting their act together somewhat, there are two new hardback books, one is already out set between Ep I & II about Padame & her transformation from Queen of Naboo to Senator of Naboo, the other one coming next month is a Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan adventure set before "The Phantom Menace"....after ignoring the Prequels for years we are getting some books of the era, also the yearly "Celebration", what ever number it is now has a promotional poster that has many Prequel & Original Trilogy characters at the forefront with the Sequel characters in the background, there has already been 2 "Thrawn" books put out by Timothy Zahn.....maybe there is hope for Disney yet....they still need to clean house at "Lucasfilm" though.

Speaking of Star Wars books, I just found an audio version of the "Death Troopers" book on You Tube that I may just give a listen to. It's 6 hours in length but it sounds like it would be a fun listen. A lot of the commenters on the thread claim that the book is actually pretty scary so I bookmarked it to listen to it later.

Yeah... That was one of the better fan trailers for this book. There are a few of them posted by fans of the book on You Tube. I think that I will go and have a listen to it now since I've got nothing else better to do right now and a good, scary Star Wars story sounds like fun right about now.Death Troopers - Star Wars Audiobook By JOE SCHREIBER

Keep trying, Roman. You will eventually get the hang of it. Here is an example... Copy the URL of the video that you would like to post. It should look like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfjWANrhl5gThen click on the little blackboard clapboard icon on the post that you are trying to create and paste the URL there and click "Insert Video" and then click "Create Post" and it should come out looking like this...

I have to say... That Old Republic short animated feature is frickin' awesome and totally puts to shame full-length feature films like "The Last Jedi".
