I didn't really like "Man of Steel"....maybe because I love the "1978 Superman" so much, I just couldn't like it....I guess I am biased on that.....have not seen "Homecoming"....for me the first 3 films with Toby McGuire are my "Spiderman", I understand that getting McGuire to return would have been impossible so I am o.k. with Tom Holland taking over the role....but why the MCU ignores those first 3 agitates me a bit....they could have easily brought those 3 films history with Holland in the role....without those three films we might not have gotten the MCU in the first place.

I like all of the Superman movies. Even the worst ones. Yes, even "Superman Returns". But, yeah, the first one starring Christopher Reeve will always be the best one. As for the Spider-Man movies... I have been a huge fan of Spider-Man ever since I can remember. I even used to own the very first comic book issue of it! I sure do wish that I could remember what I did with it? If I had it right now I would be set for life. I even have a Nerf Spider-Man football sitting here on my desk right now! Lol! And in my opinion, no one to this very day who has ever played Peter Parker on the big screen has done the character justice yet. Although Tobey Maguire did do a pretty decent job. He just never seemed to quite fit just right in the role as the Peter Parker that I grew up with and remember reading about in the comic books. Those are all still some really good movies that he did though.

So ...now that Ben Affleck has walked away from future "Batman" films, they are now going to cast Robert Pattison (Twilight) as Bruce Wayne (Batman).......let's see...he is No.6 to play the role.....how many different ways can they do this character over & over again??....... I have never understood rebooting the character after Nolan's films, why not bring Christian Bale to do "Batman Vs Superman" & Brandon Routh from "Superman Returns"?........Routh embodied Christopher Reeve's take on the character much better than Henry Cavill.... despite his best efforts Cavill just could not do it like Routh did.......now Affleck did bring Bale's demeanor to Batman somewhat, but again....what was the point of the reboot??......watched "Batman Vs Superman" again the other day & this just bugged me, that & the fact that Kevin Spacey would have been better returning as Lex.....who thought casting Jess Eisenberg was a good idea?? .....who tried to rip off Heath Ledger's performance in "Dark Knight" at every turn....... it wasn't as good for me the second time around.....if Amy Adams who is downright beautiful to look at, had not been in it.....I am not sure I would have kept watching.....the second time around didn't do it for me....DC & Warner Bros. wants to be Marvel so bad... but yet....they don't have the know-how.

I'm with you on this one, Roman. I too gave BvS a 2nd watch a few weeks ago right after having watched "Man of Steel" again, and it just wasn't as good to me the 2nd time around either. I still really liked Ben Affleck's Batman, and I thought Henry Cavill did a decent job as Superman, but... Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor kinda grated on my nerves and was really annoying. They really should have gotten someone else to play the part. To be fair, I hear that the extended version that was released of this movie, titled the Ultimate Version or something like that? I hear that it is much better than the original theatrical release of the film. It's the version that director Zack Snyder originally wanted to release and is like a half hour longer or so than the original was, but for some reason the studio wanted to make cuts and fooled around with Snyder's vision of how the film should be. So until I see that version I will hold any further judgement of the film.

Hey, have you seen the new trailer for the latest Terminator flick yet? I don't know what to make of this one? It just doesn't really excite me all that much. It just looks like more of the same old same old thing. I sure wish that they would have finished the "Terminator: Salvation" trilogy instead of this, to be quite honest. Speaking of Rutger Hauer.....here is a trailer from "Blind Side" (1993)......Ron Silver may have been the bad guy in "TimeCop" but here he is menaced by Hauer......... Rebecca DeMornay was sexy as hell in this one...more than she was in "Risky Business". www.youtube.com/watch?v=06kKLyb06lo

Here's another 80's movie that features Ron Silver in it. This was a really good low-budget B-movie starring Chuck Norris before his "Walker, Texas Ranger" days. My buddy and I saw this when it first came out and we were both floored with how suspenseful and action-packed it was. Silent Rage (1982) - Official Trailer | Chuck Norris

Star Trek II Wrath of Kahn..... Where are we going...(McCoy) Where they went...(Kirk) Suppose they went nowhere!! (McCoy) Then this will be your big chance to get away from it all (Kirk) Love that movie! A friend and I went to go see it on opening weekend and really enjoyed it. I must have seen it a dozen times at least or more since then? The audience was really entertained by it as well with lots of clapping and cheering when Khan was finally defeated. Ricardo Montalban was so good in that movie.
