Seriously... This was one of Arnie's best! And one of my favorite movies of all-time. I'm surprised that we don't already have a Running Man show on TV yet?The Running Man (1987) Carnage Count

"You f*cked up my car" (bad guy) "You f*cked up my day off" (Arnold)....."The Last Stand" Haha! Funny you should mention that movie... I was just thinking about watching it again the other day. It was Big Arnie's return to the big screen after being away for years doing politics as the Governor of California. It was good to see him back again, and while not one of his better movies, I still really enjoyed it and thought that it was a fun popcorn action flick. I may just have to watch it tonight now.

Bob Hauk: "You gonna kill me now, Snake?"
Snake Plissken: "I'm too tired. Maybe later." ~ Escape From New York Hauuk....."remember once you are inside you are on your own... Snake......"you mean I can't count on you?" Hauuk......"no" Snake....."good" My daughter used to be into those dystopian type films (Hunger Games, Walking Dead)......I showed her "The Matrix" & "I am Legend" & even "The Road Warrior" all of which she liked but for some reason I couldn't get her to embrace "Escape From New York" .....I asked her why she didn't get into EFNY & she couldn't give me a reason.....go figure.....maybe it wasn't fast paced enough for her, when you really think about it, EFNY is more of a character driven film rather than an action film, John Carpenter did pretty much the same thing with "The Thing" & "Christine" where they too were more character driven stories, only with "Big Trouble in Little China" did Carpenter go all out with action & humor & less character development & made one hell of a fun movie, it was one action/humor set piece after another where you could tell everyone had a blast making it.

My wife didn't care much for EFNY either. But she's not really into movies like that much anyway. Even though I dragged her along to see plenty of the big action movies over the years. Some she liked, others not so much. Comedies are a safer bet to take a woman out to see if you want to keep them happy.

The only time l could drag my ex wife to an action film is if she thought the male lead was hot, guys like Steven Segal or Val Kilmer, she never drooled over Stallone, Arnold, Mel or Kurt for some reason....but then again she was into women.....she told me when we were in the process of getting divorced she was bisexual....l always used to joke with her about bringing another woman to our bed & she would get ticked off at me....who knew🤷
