Well, it looks like Beta O'Rourke is a commie after all.....he has disregarded the 2nd Amendment & says he is coming after everyone's guns.....yeah, good luck with that pal!!........not gonna happen.....this is why our founding fathers put the 2nd Amendment in place.....because they knew there would be commies like Beta O'Rourke! 3. The Drew Barrymore films from 2000/2003 were fun....they were not trying to make a political statement like this one.

And man Oh Man, What a Nice Little Body she had on her too! She can assimilate me anytime!   Seriously though, my girlfriend was so pissed off and uncomfortable while watching this movie because of those nude scenes. Which is understandable. If I had known that there was going to be so much female nudity in it then I would have taken her to go see something else instead. The "Rise of Skywalker" writer & the guy behind the screenplay said in a recent interview that they had to bring Palpatine back because of the line of dialogue about cheating death in "Revenge of the Sith".....what bullsh!t!!!......these clowns at Lucasfilm have gone out of their way to ignore anything regarding the Prequels.....now we are supposed to believe that bringing Palpatine back was all because of his comments in "Revenge of the Sith"......since when did these fu*kers ever care about anything that happened in "Revenge of the Sith" !!!!.......if I had done that interview I would have handed him his azz & made him look like the stupid idiot that he is!!! |

Yep... I have been reading opinions from lots of Star Wars fans online saying that bringing back Emperor Palpatine was a very stupid decision and basically ruins the OT. Many people are going so far as to say that the Disney sequels are not even considered official cannon by them and are basically nothing more than Star Wars alternate reality spin-offs. This last chapter in the Skywalker Saga, in fact, the entire Disney trilogy really seems to have hardcore Star Wars fans divided more than the prequels ever did. |

Having read close 40 "Expanded Universe" books, a few taking place around the "Rise of Skywalker's" time, I can see this film as a part of the "EU".......examples are below....
In the "Jedi Academy" trilogy of books, Han & Lando discover a secret "Death Star" under construction in the Outer Rim being overseen by Admiral Daala (Tarkin's lover)....yes "social justice losers"....a woman Admiral.....this is about 8 to 10 years after "Return of the Jedi".....
In "Survivor's Quest" which takes place a few years before "The Force Awakens" Luke & his wife Mara Jade (another strong female character) attempt to find out what happened to "Outbound Flight" & encounter some shady characters....
but probably the ones that could make "Rise of Skywalker" really make sense is the two-part books "Crosscurrent" & "Riptide".....3,000 years before the events in the films.... a Sith & a Jedi are thrown foward in time to about 40 years after the events of "A New Hope" when the Jedi of the past was trying to sabotage the hyperdrive on the Sith freighter that went horribly wrong creating the time-travel mishap.....if you have read these books & can still consider them canon (I DO!!!....screw you Disney).....then it is possible that by this paradox that Palpatine could return......
however, if you haven't read any "Expanded Universe" books, then "Rise of Skywalker" is a ridiculous story.....but if you put it in the context of the "EU".....it makes more sense.....that is how I view this one.....not as an Ep 9 per say.......but as a result of "Crosscurrent" & "Riptide's time travel mishap.....
but, as a conclusion to the "Skywalker" story.....it doesn't work.
No matter how you look at it.....it is still entertaining at best.......Disney never should have discarded the "EU"......at least they could have used my analogy here to justify the story......but because they didn't......we have to listen to idiots like Chris Terrio come up with anything to justify what an idiot Rian Johnson was without actually saying that Rian is an idiot.
