Hypothetical...
You're stranded on Gilligans Isle you have the means to play DVD movies thanks to the professors ingenuity in creating electricity for your portable DVD player.
You have ten choices of movies that you would want to have, ten.
1. Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior 2. They Live John Carpenter 3. Eye's Wide Shut 4. Chopper, Eric Bana 5. The Doom Generation, Rose McGowan 6. Great Escape, Steve McQueen 7. Goodfellas 8. Vanilla Sky 9. 9 1/2 weeks 10. Castaway, Tom Hanks
What no comedy? Chopper, Doom Generation and Castaway are clearly comedy.
No porn? Ginger, Mary-Ann and even Mrs Howell you sick, sick fuck !
Damn-it 11. The Boondock Saints As if you didn't realize 10 is only a contextually joke.
I cannot stand the Tom's... Cruise I can still watch many of his films... Hanks makes my skin crawl/ want to vomit...There's far far too much smoke around Hanks Even Bachelor Party is unwatchable for me today.

Star Wars Rogue One Yeah, I had a tough time choosing between the original Mad Max movie and the sequel, but, I eventually went with the sequel. I have watched it dozens of times over the years, and plus, those vehicles were so bad-ass! Star Wars Rogue One was on my mind as well and I almost added it to my list. That was definitely one Star Wars movie that Disney got right.

Yeah “The Road Warrior” would have been no.11 for me but l had to choose “Mad Max”......although “Beyond Thunderdome” has its moments especially the “Iron bar” character.....it was just to kid friendly for me“Fury Road” was more Charlize Theron’s movie.....Tom Hardy just didn’t have Mel’s charisma & what is up with him having the Interceptor in the beginning....what did he do go back & salvage the burnt metal???.....l would expect stupidity like that from J.J. Abrams but not George Miller......l just can’t embrace “Fury Road”.....l will say you renewed my interest in “Escape from New York”. Rock...that one was always hard to find before DVD came about.
Fun Fact :
Goose was originally supposed to be The Hummungus but Warner Bro’s scrapped that plot point because they didn’t want to be associated with “Mad Max”.....l read that somewhere.

I have to disagree with you here, Roman. I absolutely loved "Fury Road"! I have seen it many times now and it never fails to entertain. Okay, sure, Tom Hardy is no Mel Gibson, but still... Give it another watch and I am sure that it will grow on you. Besides.. "Fury Road" is still better than Mad Max III!

I only saw “Fury Road” once.....maybe on a second viewing l would like it better.....l think it was a beautifully shot film cinamatography wise.....l think my biggest problem is George Miller diminishing Charlize Theron’s sex appeal, l mean you get one of the most bankable stars & you reduce her sex appeal?....the women she was transporting had their sex appeal but not Theron?.....what can l say l wanna see hot babes especially if they are carrying the film.
I think they have green lighted a prequel to Theron’s character......that is if Hollywood ever makes movies again😳

I was thinking of doing this too! This thread is just too good of an idea to ignore. I was thinking of doing a list of ten favorite Horror Movies, or ten favorite comedies, etc., but I will just do what you did and list an additional ten favorite movies.
1. Caddyshack 2. Return of the Living Dead 3. They Live 4. National Lampoon's Vacation 5. Mad Max 6. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 7. Back to the Future II 8. Freddy vs Jason 9. Ghostbusters 10. Disney's The Black Hole

Disney's "The Black Hole" is an awesome and underrated classic Sc-Fi/Horror flick. There were talks years back that Disney was planning on doing a remake of it with the director that directed "Tron: Legacy", Joseph Kosinski at the helm. I think that would have been great, but unfortunately and for whatever reasons Disney never followed through with it? Another great movie that was no doubt inspired by the Black Hole and is a favorite of mine as well is "Event Horizon" starring Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neill. If you haven't seen this one yet then I highly recommend it for those of you out there who enjoy a really good Sci-Fi/Horror flick.

Event Horizon Trailer HD "In the year 2047 a group of astronauts are sent to investigate and salvage the long lost starship "Event Horizon". The ship disappeared mysteriously 7 years before on its maiden voyage and with its return comes even more mystery as the crew of the "Lewis and Clark" discover the real truth behind its disappearance and something even more terrifying."

I remember "Event Horizon", that was some crazy stuff.....I actually bought "The Black Hole" on Blu-ray back in the spring, although it was improved picture wise, some scenes most notably the dinner table scene they didn't clean up the outer window scene that was a matte screen at best, I don't think it would have been to much to clean it up but Disney gave that scene no love, still a great movie though.

Disney's The Black Hole "Return of the Living Dead"....."do you wanna party"....that was a crazy movie......I was actually listening to a Camille Keaton podcast interview where she says her & Linnea Quigley are best friends (Red Head who dances nude in the cemetary).....they actually did a film together in 2013 called "Blood River" where they are vampires during the civil war, I have tried to find this one but haven't yet......here is the podcast interview where Camille talks about her Linnea dealing with uptight people in Florida.....somthing tells me they are not happy there.....they both need to move to Nashville ....here is the podacast interview at 26:00 min in.....where she talks about that.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BDM2LqDQJw

Speaking of Linnea Quigley, she was really popular in a lot of Horror flicks back in the 80's. She was what you would call a "Scream Queen". Which reminds me of one of her better 80's Horror flicks... "Night of the Demons". You can watch it for free on You Tube. It's a classic, and I should warn you, do not watch this one late at night in the dark. Seriously, it will freak you out. Night of the Demons 1988
