I have been going back & forth with my liberal cousin, here is a few text exchanges between me & him yesterday for your amusement....

Me...go ahead & celebrate just remember Trump employed thousands of people at his casinos & hotels, he created a strong economy, Biden has done nothing, just watch how fast this economy crashes....

Him....Trump also put thousands of people out of work when he filed for bankruptcy at those hotels & casinos, the economy is going to do well over the next four years, it always does under Democrats.

Me....it didn't under Obama or Carter

Him....how do you define the economy? the stock market?, unemployment? home prices?

Me....they all sucked under Obama, Obama was a disaster, you couldn't even get a job

Him....the Dow went up 73% under Obama, Trump is at 31%.....during Obama's 8 years 116 million jobs were created

Me.....yeah, minimum wages jobs (laughing faces)

Him....He tried to get minimum wages increased to $15.00 an hour but the republicans blocked it

Me.....when you have a robust economy no one pays minimum wage

Him....Obama brought the economy back that Trump has taken credit for

Me....then why from 2009 to 2011 was there 19 houses in my old neighborhood that could not get sold, I will remember this conversation a year from now when my current house has depricieated 50%

Him....your individual experience is not a indicator of the broader economy

Me....Me & Tammy(ex-wife) bought our house in 2003 for $85,000, in 2007 we met with a realtor & it's market value was $150,000, we didn't sell, in 2011 after we divorced I attempted to sell as part of the divorce agreement & its market value was $93,000, in 2015 when my hand was forced its market value was $132,000, today $234,000, it never got back to its 2007 market value in all of Obama's eight years in office, under Trump's last four years it has appreciated $100,000, twice the amount 5 years ago.


Him....unfortunately you were not in a position to wait it out, Trump inherited Obama's great economy

                   today's market value $234,000
it never recovered under Obama, but recovered like a MF under Trump, you can spin it all you want, it didn't taker Reagan, Clinton & Bush (after 9/11) 8 years to revive the economy, the only reason it bounced back in 2016 is because investors knew Obama was almost out of office

Me....& made a bigger mess, Lahmen Brothers & Goldman Sachs crashed the economy with their out of control hedge betting, & Barney Frank loosened mortgage requirements for illegal immigrants which led to the housing crash not Bush.....I mean they could not track them down for their defaults they didn't know who they were

Me....when me & Tammy bought our house in 2003 we had to show everything, illegals didn't which is what led to the 2008 housing market crash

Me.....one of them, yes the others I saw in & around the neighborhood & all were gone in 2009, all of those houses were part of the 19 on the market in 2011......they had bigger houses than us & none of their wives worked, they all worked in construction, the one I knew didn't even know how much he borrowed, he couldn't remember the lender's name...
