My employer made me get tested with a temp reading, it was 91 degrees....no fever....so far so good, now if I can ever see my doctor & get another blood test, maybe I can find out if it got me & I didn't know it

Heck, I have made it through the entire Winter and not caught one single cold or flu. Last year I caught a few of them. The thing that I did differently this Winter was to take a vitamin D-3 pill every day. I read about it somewhere last Fall that this vitamin helps to fight off colds and flu's and I would have to agree with that. I also take garlic oil pills every day too, which I also thinks helps a lot in protecting your body. And of course a good yogurt every day doesn't hurt either. |

They say sunlight & sun rays give us vitamin D......that is why we don't need to be sheltered at home 24/7....it is now coming out that people are showing up in the emergency rooms who have been at home, bottom line is we are exposed to nasty little viruses on a daily basis which boost our immune system, notice how the homeless folks are not being affected.......it is time for people to go back to work.....these communists in the Democrap party & media don't care how many die, their end game is to get Trump out of office & they continue to weaponize this virus.....it is disgusting to watch....like Rand Paul told Fauci....."this is not your decision".....Rand should know, he is a former doctor & Covid survivor.

So I read this article that many New Yorkers are leaving New York for good....if this continues & the Democraps & their lapdog media goons get their way the movie "Escape From New York" may actually become reality.....a police state, New York City abandoned & turned into a prison....I actually finally got around to watching it on blu ray the other night & it seemed more plausible & real now than it ever did......in addition to Vitamin D being a deterrent to Covid 19, I saw another article that "Listerine" mouthwash may also kill the virus & yet no one is testing these theories, I really think that the media & the Democraps really don't want this to end, they are seeing an opportunity to not only destroy Trump but to move us into Socialism & have us dependent on them.....

Speaking of "Escape From New York", one of my all-time favorite films... I was just watching a retrospective of the film on You Tube and one of the comments in the comment section really intrigued me. It gives you more insight into what happened to New York for it to become so bad that they decided to just turn it into a gigantic maximum security prison. It was posted by a person with the user name of "radioblueheart". "I am a huge nerd for this film and I tracked down a copy of the novelization. I am not sure if most of it was unused elements from the screenplay or artistic license of the author, but I can offer you some insight into the world this is set in. First, the United States is bogged down in a world war against the Chinese and the Russians. Nuclear Weapons were banned by all sides to protect neutral nations and to prevent MAD, so the war is fought with conventional and chemical weapons. After some initial success, the war starts going badly for America which causes the economy to collapse leading to the 400% increase in crime as citizens turn to crime in order to survive. New York was depopulation by a combined fire bombing and nerve gas attack by the Russians. 90% of the citizens were killed, the rest were driven mad by the gas and went underground to become the crazies. Also parts of the US west coast have been depopulated because of gas attacks. Plissken lost his eye at Leningrad (the battle mentioned in the movie). He and Taylor were the only survivors of their unit of 50 men. A crack in one of the lenses of his gas mask allow some gas to seep in and damage his eye. The whole battle was a ruse, a phony rescue mission. The Russians had captured a low ranking American officer who claimed to be a colonel. The Russians didn't believe him or the information he gave them. To make the Russians think this phony was genuine, a massive attack was launched on Leningrad for no other purpose but to put on a show. When Plissken found out about this, he and Taylor deserted and became criminals. The tape has conflicting purposes. In the novelization, it is a plan for a super weapon that will cow the Russians and Chinese into peace, but Carpenter has said that it was probably a new form of fusion that would solve the energy problems of the world with clean, unlimited energy, meant to be a peace offering. Either way, Plissken destroyed America's chances of ending the war. BOOM! Studios comics have created a comic series that acts as a direct sequel to Escape from New York with the president ordering the capture of Plissken after the tape switch." The deleted opening sequence, makes me ponder what would the butterfly effect to history be if the bank robbery backstory to Snake Plisken was left in the theatrical release.
That's an enormous change to my perception of Snake Plisken.

That's an enormous change to my perception of Snake Plisken. I'm not sure that I quite follow you? We already knew that Snake isn't exactly a good guy. That's why he was in prison in the first place. John Carpenter decided to delete that opening sequence because it confused the test audiences at the time. Plus, he felt that it bogged the movie down. |

Richard Marcinko is also historically the first person to successfully use the Mcguire Rig and a C-130 for extraction IIRC, in the field.
Think film Air Force One, with Harrison Ford
Marcinko is an equally loved and detested "Legend" in NSWC...

So Nashville's mayor has fined Kid Rock's resturaunt & bar & other similar businesses for violating the Covid-19 social distancing guidelines but yet this same mayor had no problem having people assemble for a protest where you still have people camped out at legislative plaza.....this has to be the dumbest mayor I have ever seen, he is even worse than the previous mayor.
