This weekend has been full of people at my store, TN's Governor Mike Lee has told folks, if you have to go to the store, only one family member should go, well, that has fallen on deaf ears....people are still coming in there with the whole family, people are just not taking this seriously, today's traffic was a typical day, no one is staying home from what I can see, yeah it was a beautiful day, but come on man!!....if you want to enjoy the weather, go out on your deck....although Nashville only has about 800 cases out of 700,000 people which is still not a lot, it stands to reason that two weeks ago it was 150.....& it will jump to 2,000 if people don't keep their azz home!!!!.....I am having to wear a face mask because people are being defiant. They have to because we are one of the harder hit states so I think that is starting to really scare some people now. The building that I work at usually has hundreds of people working there on an average day, now we might get a dozen employees that come to work, on a busy day maybe two dozen? A lot of people here are working from their homes through this thing. The city looks like a ghost town at night. Like something straight out of an apocalyptic movie. Especially a few nights ago when there were sporadic blackouts throughout the city for some reason. It was eerie driving to work. I have some really good protective face masks here at home but I haven't worn one yet. I may just do that though on my next shopping trip this weekend? Oh, and I have noticed that a lot of stores around here have installed plexiglass sneeze shields at all of their registers... even the 7-11 convenience stores. So we are taking things pretty seriously here in Michigan to try and contain this thing. |

Uh, When I lived in Redford/Detroit everywhere already had plexiglass and turnstyles to get anything.
Subway, Arby's, Liquor Stores... Everywhere already had full plexiglass enclosures seperating employees from customers...
Retrieve your sandwich from the turnstyles ...
I don't recall seeing any in Sterling Heights or Dearborn though.

1) Employees are touching money , a shield gives employees a false sense of security.
2) A shield MAY reduce risk to employees, MAY reduce risk

While this certainly would protect employees ...
I highly doubt that many employees have been instructed about proper handling of cash or even instructed remember not to touch your face.
A plexiglass shield hanging from the ceiling is more just 'giving the appearance' that 'we care'.

Those types wouldn't think twice about putting a bullet through your head in order to just get a pack of cigars or a burrito for free. I should know... I have worked at a few sites like that over the years. You can find that kind of bullet-proof plexiglass at most 24 hour gas stations around here. |

I heard this story on the radio & whether it is true or not is for you to decide.....apparently this guy knows a guy who was a member of the United Nations where he attended a summit in London in 2005 where they discussed creating a virus to unleash on the world & wipe out half of the population to help climate change efforts, he said they were all laughing about it which made him very uneasy & after he revealed this to those close to him he suddenly disappeared.....his family & friends don't know if he chose to disappear or if he met with foul play......they said he said he felt that these people had no conscience & were demonic in their comments....that it terrified him.....you decide..
There is also a book out that was written by a woman who was said to be psychic & could predict future events & in her book published in 2009 she stated there would be a pandemic in the year 2020, I can't remember the name of the book, but it has become a bestseller on Amazon & unfortunately the woman passed away in 2013.......I think it is time we take psychics a little more seriously

My store still has not got back to normal yet.....many items still remain out of stock.....& the paper towels & tissue remain a hot item....WTF!!.....I mean I would have thought that would have died down by now....it is a heard mentality & it is really getting pathetic......& the crap media is claiming a meat shortage is going on.....yes, frozen meat....not processed meat.....f*ckers can't even get their reporting right....can't wait to see the mob buying up all the meat tomorrow because of these f*cking idiots!!

Things are pretty much back to normal at my local grocery store here for the most part. Some certain brands of items that I usually would buy are getting harder to find but I am always able to find the same thing under a different brand. The only things that I have noticed that are still low in supply are the paper products as you mentioned, and things like Ramen noodles, Chicken Noodle Soup, Cup of Soup, etcetera. |
