Well guys, it looks like we are going to be dealing with this Coronavirus situation for at least the next month or two, if not longer. So I figured that I would start a thread to help spread the word [No pun intended!] and to try to keep us all informed with what is going on around the country and world in trying to handle this latest pandemic. Yeah, my liberal cousin said & I quote "Trump is finished in November guaranteed".....& I said "Yeah, the liberal scum lapdog media will make sure of that won't they".....I am still waiting for a response.....
These last three days have been crazy......my store looks like it is going out of business, for the first time yesterday we were out of milk & eggs, paper, meat, bread, canned goods all remain empty, I was having to horde & hide some frozen food items in the freezer so I could get when I left, not to mention some dairy items, it is nuts, I have never seen anything like it.....yesterday when I arrived at work at 6 am.....15 to 20 people were waiting for the doors to be opened.....usually it is just me trying to get in at 6 am.....
Some idiot customer was coughing & not covering his mouth....uuuggghhh.....luckily he was a good distance away....I am starting to feel like Kurt Russell in "The Thing"......
The good news.....I will get two weeks off with pay if I get infected.......

Back when I used to work at a grocery store in the 80's, I was in charge of opening it at 6 in the mornings and we always had people anxiously waiting in line to get inside. They were mostly retirees who would come in to by stuff like bananas, coffee creamer, donuts, stuff like that. I went to my local Dollar Tree store yesterday and a lot of their shelves were completely wiped out... Cleaning supplies, water, canned and boxed foods etc. I was only able to find a few things that I needed. The cashier said that their supply truck will be coming in on Friday. |

Uh, Who does he believe will defeat Trump? A vote for Biden to spite Trump? No one can beat Trump this November that I can see? Even if they chose a woman as their running mate. Hillary or Elizabeth Warren would only drag them down and help to secure Trump's re-election. Now, if they were to pick Tulsi Gabbard as their running mate then they might just be able to give Trump a serious challenge. But I can't see that happening. The DNC seems to really have it in for Tulsi. |

So I was out of my comfort zone today helping others fill the shelves & this one customer who I have known for about 20 years who is a regular shopper & is a big liberal gave me the wackiest most ridiculous theory I have ever heard.....it went somthing like this....
Him.....Trump needs to start a war to stay in office
Me......Why would he need to do that when we have had a strong economy?
Him.....We don't have a strong economy, the economy has crashed

Well, today was a lot calmer....I guess people figured they can only cram so much in their refrigerator....my ex-wife did that once & it shut down, we had to buy another one, we put the old one in the garage & it later worked again, so it didn't break down, it just couldn't breathe & we were out $700....I wonder how many people have had that happen these last few weeks.

Things are going well enough here in my area of the country, so far, regardless of this stay at home order. We will be in lockdown mode for the next 3 weeks here. Luckily it has not affected my job, but I really feel for those people whose jobs that it is affecting and I hope that Congress can come to some kind of agreement on this COVID-19 relief bill soon and start helping give some much-needed support to those whose jobs and livelihood are suffering from it. The good news is that the store shelves are constantly being restocked here and the supply chain has not been severely affected by all of this. Let's hope that it continues to stay that way and by the end of this shutdown we will hopefully be able to get things more back to normal and beat this pandemic. |

Israeli Pharmaceutical Company Donates 6 Million Doses of Chloroquine to US to treat Coronavirus "Israel’s leading drug producer announced Thursday it will donate 6 million doses of anti-malaria drugs to the United States in hopes that it could be helpful treating coronavirus symptoms.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries says the drug could potentially treat people with the coronavirus and will ship the hydroxychloroquine tablets through wholesalers nationwide by the end of the month and will provide 10 million doses in total, according to Breitbart News.
