The Trump Anxiety Disorder Thread!

We have a Mayor's election tomorrow, I hope the people of Nashville send current Mayor David Briley packing, this guy is a disaster, he won't back our police, crime is up, just last week ICE agents attempted to arrest & deport a illegal who locked himself in his car & police who were called were told to stand down, this guy has got to go, we are one of the booming cities in America, the NFL Draft brought millions in revenue to the city & yet there is a budget shortfall (how, how!!!).....if this guy isn't voted out, we are heading in the same direction as Chicago & Baltimore......Democraps can't run a city successfully & they can never fight a overseas war, thank god today's Democraps were not around during World War II.....I can only imagine how this country would be today!

Our previous Mayor Megan Berry resigned in disgrace when it came out that she had mishandled city funds & had an affair with her bodygaurd, she tried to make Nashville a sanctuary city & the Sherriff told her he wasn't going to enforce that & if ICE agents showed up he would assist them & that got voted down, local city Sheriffs have more power than they realize, they have as much power as the Mayor, it is called checks & balances.....only the Governor of a state can fire a Sheriff...

In 1973 a film called "Walking Tall" came out that starred Jo Don Baker as a TN sheriff who attempts to clean up corruption in his town & meets opposition at every turn & pays for it when his wife is killed & him almost killed himself... it was a brutal film & it was based on a true story.....

This is pretty much what is happening Trump in the Nation's Capitol.....attempts to clean up corruption & is meeting opposition at every turn.

I guess Elijah Cummings has selective memory.....this is too funny!!

As you may recall Rock I lived in Redford for awhile, yes Detroit certainly has "character" .. at the time I couldn't help wondering about Sarajevo.

Now in San Francisco, at my age, with all that I have seen.. does it surprise you at all that the common sight in San Francisco of discarded hype needles, in plane sight, is regarded nearly the same as discarded cigarette butts?

Frequently, not always, frequently I decide to dispose of them properly in a garbage bin...say if I am near a park.

I do know that what I have had opportunity to witness in Seattle and San Francisco is outside the norm.


For Example
In the "snow storm" in Seattle in January I actually slept outside for one out of three nights.

Hyperaware of the tingling in my toes, I was intermittently igniting copies of "The Stranger" to build a small fire in order to keep my toes(dry). I has a small fire. It occurred to me that I had some sticks of butter and some great sourdough. I had a great little camp between two swank hotels near the YWCA and IBM building. So I was melting butter to place on bread at around one am during a snow storm.

Whoop, whoop...police arrive.. two squad cars. Federal buildings are closed, the city is basically shut down. I have a tiny fire and two squad cars show up. Two male officers and one female officer.

I explain that I am melting butter to place it on bread.(nevermind trying to explain to officers riding around in heated squad cars that it is necessary to keep my toes).

The female officer searches my one person tent and nearly proudly exclaims "It checks out. He was melting butter to place it on bread. Maybe, we can go check on that shooting call now?"

I am certain the male officers were not amused by how "gung-ho" this female officer was being during an unexpected "snow storm" in Seattle.

Do understand the hotels that I was sleeping between were very swank.

It was a cool place to camp for a few days and still mildly boggles my mind that I was able to camp there.

Countless times in the last eighteen months have I been awoken by security or police and more often than not, less than politely asked to "move along".

You really cannot imagine what it is like here in California at this moment in history and I have a bird's eye view.

As a veteran it is especially hard being told to "move along" from a public place.

Well, once again the folks in the media who love to harp on how minorities are not getting a fair shake & that Trump & his base are all racists.......well, Nashville had a Mayor's race this past week, one of the candidates was a black woman named Carol Swain, I voted for her for her conservative values & the fact that she didn't have big money backing her on T.V. ads....to put simply she was a Republican, she almost reminds of those Diamond & Silk women in her ads....& what did the media do.....they completely ignored her....could it be because she wasn't a Democrap......so basically if you are a black Republican, you are not worth their time in the media......our incompetent Mayor David Briley will now have a runoff with another guy who won the majority of the votes......Carol Swain should have won by a landslide.....but got no support from the media...looks like the media was racist....where was their support for a black woman running for Mayor???

What to do.

It is quite difficult having zero support here in San Francisco. I last went to a friend's house here back in May of 2018 and she has quite a full plate anyway.

I gather she figured I wasn't worth the trouble or any other of numerous reasons.

She helped me get here , our relationship failed , I was illegally evicted from a nearby residence and that landlord stole nearly everything that I owned. To include two months rent and a deposit.

I still had a bit in storage and lost it at auction when I was in jail because of an altercation with a police officer at the veterans hospital.

Most of my Trump memorabilia was still in storage.

My most prized possession was my out of print books that I had moved to the failed relationship house. Which when I had opportunity to contact her about trying to retrieve them she asserted that she believed that I abandoned them at her house and she donated them.

After all this time, there is a potential light at the end of this tunnel.

A veterans service organization possibly will help me attempt to get a place. I then can begin to reacquire creature comforts and look into college here.

I have no family to turn to.

Have you tried visiting your local Salvation Army church? Many years ago when I fell on hard times and could barely pay the rent for my apartment, my local Salvation Army wrote me out a check for my rent, gave me another check to buy some food, and even gave me a couple of bags of boxed and canned food as well. They really helped me to get through that tough phase in my life and I have never forgotten it. That is why I donate to the Salvation Army now and then every year, either with items that I no longer need such as clothes , and other useful household items etc., and occasionally cash donations during the holidays. Also, try asking some other local churches for some assistance, they may also be able to help?
