King Arthur: "I command you, as King of the Britons, to stand aside!"
Black Knight: "I move for no man."
King Arthur: "So be it!"
[They fight until Arthur cuts off Black Knight's left arm.]
King Arthur: "Now, stand aside, worthy adversary!"
Black Knight: "'Tis but a scratch!"
King Arthur: "A scratch? Your arm's off!"
Black Knight: "No, it isn't!"
King Arthur: "Well, what's that then?"
Black Knight: "I've had worse."
King Arthur: "You liar!"

Black Knight: "Come on, you pansy!"
[they fight again. Arthur cuts off the Knight's right arm]
King Arthur: "Victory is mine!" [kneels to pray.] King Arthur: "We thank thee, Lord, that in thy mercy - " [cut off by the Knight kicking him]
Black Knight: "Come on, then."
King Arthur: "What?"
Black Knight: "Have at you!"
King Arthur: "You are indeed brave, Sir Knight, but the fight is mine!"
Black Knight: "Oh, had enough, eh?"
King Arthur: "Look, you stupid bastard. You've got no arms left!"
Black Knight: "Yes I have!"
King Arthur: "Look!"
Black Knight: "It's just a flesh wound." [Kicks King Arthur again.]

Black Knight: "Chicken!" [Kicks King Arthur repeatedly]
King Arthur: "Look, stop that!"
Black Knight: "Chicken! Chicken!"
King Arthur: "Look, I'll have your leg!"
[The Black Knight kicks King Arthur once more]
King Arthur: "Right!" [Slices off the Black Knight's right leg]
Black Knight: "Right, I'll do you for that!"
King Arthur: "You'll what?"
Black Knight: "Come here!"
[Hops around on one leg]
King Arthur: "What are you gonna do, bleed on me?"
Black Knight: "I'm invincible!"
King Arthur: "You're a loony."
Black Knight: "The Black Knight always triumphs! Have at you! Come on then!"
[King Arthur cuts off the Black Knight's last remaining leg]
Black Knight: "Alright, we'll call it a draw."
King Arthur: [Preparing to leave] "Come, Patsy." [King Arthur and Patsy ride off]
Black Knight: "Oh, oh, I see! Running away, eh? You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you! I'll bite your legs off!"

Here's one of my favorite scenes from "Big Trouble in Little China". What a great movie. Hollywood has been talking about doing a remake of this one for years now but nothing could beat the original for sheer fun, action and adventure.Big Trouble in Little China (1/5) Movie CLIP - The Three Storms (1986) HD

Hollywood does not need to remake "Big Trouble in Little China"....for one thing it would be boring & politically correct, I work with some asian people, they love this movie, it doesn't offend them at all, but Hollywood would not understand that, I don't necessarily care for remakes, most are pointless & a cash grab, & they almost never improve on the original film......examples are below......
Walking Tall.....The Rock's 2004 version does stay true to the story elements of the 1973 film, however it plays it safe & never shows the nastiness of the villians like the "73" film does, the 73 film didn't hold nothing back.
"I spit on your grave"....again, the 2010 remake plays it safe & goes more for the psychological aspects, the rape scene is toned down whereas the 1978 film showed how ugly a rape can be, again the 78 film holds nothing back whereas the 2010 film shows very little....I will say the 2013 sequel to the remake does shows the ugliness of the rape much like the 78 film....so at least they got that one right.
The Amityville Horror.....the 1979 film stayed true to the book, some liberties were taken, but not many, the 2005 remake is nothing like the book & has no scary aspects like the 1979 film, again why bother?
Now the 2007 "Hitcher" remake was actually pretty good which was a surprise, it didn't take away from the 1986 film but did improve upon it with a bigger budget, the director defintely maintained the spirit of the 86 film.....between Rutger Hauer & Sean Bean....I don't know which one was more menacing.

Getting back to "Big Trouble in Little China".....yes, this too is one of my favorites of all time, no matter how many times I see this one, it always makes me laugh, it is pretty obvious everyone was having fun making it....it is one of the first 10 movies I bought on Blu-Ray...
I used to tell Star that if she & I & Rock & Bittersweet were ever caught up in an adventure together it would probably be somthing like out of this movie....we used to joke that we would be the asian couple Wang & Miao-Yen & that Rock & Bittersweet would be Jack Burton & Gracie Law & that William Smith would be Lo-Pan.....& Hikari or Allie would be Margo......Thunder, Rain, & Lightning....don't know who they would be.......WAS's Amazon buddies I guess....
other one-liners.....
"Its all in the reflexes"
"SOB must pay"....after nearly being run over in the parking structure
"Which Lo-Pan??....the little basket case on wheels or the 10 foot tall roadblock"
"Jack what, I supposed to buy this, 2,000 years he can't find one broad to fit the bill, come on Dave you have to be doing somthing seriously wrong.
Egg Chan...."won't come out no more!!"
Jack...."what?...what won't come out no more?!
Yeah, that clip is funny with the arrival of Storm, Rain & Lightning....the brothel scene where they show up is funny as well.

I haven't seen any of those remakes yet. I'm trying to think of a remake that actually topped the original and the only one that comes to mind is another John Carpenter flick, "The Thing". I'm sure there are more out there but that is all that comes to mind right now. Oh, yeah, the "Death Race" remake starring Jason Statham was a pretty darned good remake too. But most that I have seen have been disappointing compared to the originals.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been wanting to make a remake of "Big Trouble in Little China" for years now. Apparently he is a big fan of the original. But, I just can't see Dwayne playing Jack Burton? He just doesn't fit the character at all. He received a lot of backlash from fans of the original when he announced that he would like to star in a remake of the film. He said that he would like to get John Carpenter on board the project, and possibly Kurt Russell too. Apparently they weren't interested. Last I heard, Dwayne wants to create a sequel of some kind to the movie now instead, which I don't think is a bad idea. It could work, if done right. It might be fun, who knows? Hollywood was also talking about doing a remake of John Carpenter's "Escape From New York" at one time. Now that is one remake that I seriously hope that they never do. They could never top the original no matter how hard they tried. That movie was perfect for it's time and could never be duplicated in my opinion.

Yeah, whoever put that parody together was creative.....
I read on Wikipedia that they have scrapped doing a remake (Thank God)....& are going to do a direct sequel instead, The Rock (Dewayne Johnson) is still attached to the project...
In 1986 the film was a failure at the box-office.....I think it was just bad timing....the film "About Last Night with Rob Lowe & Demi Moore who were hot in Hollywood at the time & "Psycho III" hurt it at the box office....they all came out the same week, plus "Aliens" was weeks away & was being hyped up as well & likely hurt it too......Carpenter & Kurt Russell talk about that in commentary......Carpenter said he hated dealing with the executives at 20th Century Fox....they didn't support the film & marketed "Aliens" instead.....I told you he probably didn't play politics in Hollywood very well.....good news is it has become a cult classic....the director of "Thor Ragnorok" said he was inspired by it.
